From the age of 9, I was sure I was going to be an Orthodontist. I'll never forget thinking how cool my dentist's office was, with all the games and prizes and flavored stuff they would mold your mouth with. This was definitely what I wanted to do! Well, things didn't go exactly the way I thought they would and how I ended up as a Chiropractor can only be described as "divine intervention".

My story actually starts in College when I suddenly developed an illness that no one could explain (which only later did I realize it was stress!). The medical approach was to give me steroids to make the symptoms go away. And, they did. I went through a few more years of school without a problem. Then, in my first year of Chiropractic School, it happened again. And, again, I was put on steroids, but this time, it didn't work. So, I was put on a regiment of pills everyday just to keep the symptoms at bay. No answers about what was causing it...just more drugs to keep it at bay. I was always tired. I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I would fall asleep in class all the time and have to study the material later that night. But, without the drugs, I had a hard time functioning.

Chiropractic adjustments helped me feel better

I was only a month into Chiropractic school and still not indoctrinated into the philosophy of Chiropractic, but I knew that drugs were not the answer. I wasn't getting better, just getting by and functioning...and I did not want to live like that. I started getting adjusted for the first time and feeling the affects almost immediately. I was put on a detox by one of the local chiropractors and felt even better. I was then introduced to a holistic pharmacist...I'll never forget him. His name was Tracy and he had been a pharmacist for 30 years before he did a 180 and realized that medications were not helping people get better...just covering their symptoms. He was now a holistic pharmacist and helped people using natural substances that aided the body in healing itself. He prescribed me some herbs to help my body recover from stress overload. Within one week, the herbs along with dietary changes and getting adjusted, I was better and have been ever since.

One week and I was better after years of doctors with no answers and medications that did nothing but cover my symptoms...this is when I knew I was in the right place.

I still don't know what pushed me to go to Chiropractic School. Being pre-med in college, I was sure I was destined for some sort of medical doctor. I had never even been to a Chiropractor or even adjusted before! Unlike a lot of Chiropractors who get into Chiropractic because of a personal story of how it changed their lives, I didn't have my first adjustment until I was actually IN chiropractic school. But, it was my personal experience in school that set my path to become a Wellness Chiropractor and focus my practice around the Chiropractic Wellness Lifestyle - Diet, Exercise, Rest, Positive Mental Attitude and a healthy nervous system. I learned first hand how years of stress can reek havoc on your body...and how changing your lifestyle could turn your health around almost overnight.

I can't imagine doing anything else, being what Chiropractic has given me on a personal as well as a professional level. It has given me the opportunity to raise 2 beautiful, healthy children and help thousands of people achieve optimal health physically, chemically and emotionally.

I guess someone upstairs was looking out for me...

My Education

I attended Binghamton University in 1990 and received a BS in Biology. I attended Life University in 1995 and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1999.

My Practice Philosophy and Care Objectives

If you asked a patient to describe me, one common thing would always come up...passion for what I do. I give every patient who comes through my door 1000% of myself to help them achieve their health care goals. As a Pediatric Chiropractor, as well as a family chiropractor, about 40% of my practice is children and I LOVE SEEING CHILDREN!!! There is nothing more satisfying then having a parent bring a child in and watching their child regain their health, come off medication, and sometimes just smile again.

My Family & Health

When I'm not practicing, I enjoy spending time with my boys fishing in the summer and watching them play football and baseball. We work hard, but always balance life with fun, laughter and some craziness mixed in...

I live, eat and breath the Chiropractic Wellness Lifestyle. Both of my children are not vaccinated. Both were born with midwives, and my youngest was born at home. If I recommend a food, an exercise program, a supplement or anything else in my practice, I always try it out myself first. If I am going to preach and teach health, I have to live it myself.

Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.
